A trail camera usually needs 8 pieces of 1.5V batteries to power it, to ensure long-term operation.
If your trail camera shows low battery, there may be several reasons:
- The batteries are placed incorrectly, with the positive and negative poles reversed. This is a very common mistake, which will cause the trail camera to malfunction, or even damage the circuit. Please carefully check the positive and negative poles of the batteries, and install them correctly according to the markings inside the trail camera.
- Using rechargeable batteries, low capacity battery (1.2V). Although rechargeable batteries are environmentally friendly and economical, their voltage is generally only 1.2V, lower than the 1.5V of ordinary batteries. This will cause the trail camera to have insufficient power and fail to work properly. Please use 8 pieces of 1.5V batteries, to ensure the performance and stability of the trail camera.
In order to extend the service life of the trail camera, we recommend you to use batteries with better brand and quality, such as Nanfu or Energizer. These batteries have more stable voltage, longer lasting power, and can adapt to various harsh environments.
