Camera won't power up

1. Make sure that you have installed eight batteries in the battery compartment, filling battery all spaces with no “gaps”. Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly, observing proper polarity. Always place the negative (flat) end of each battery in contact with the spring side of its slot inside the camera. Or install the batteries again to check if the camera can power up.

2. The use of rechargeable AA batteries or the mixing of old and new batteries is not recommended as the lower voltage they produce can cause operational issues. The worst case is that some batteries might not power the camera up.

3.Please test whether the camera can be started:

  • Disconnect battery power
  • Plug in the USB to the computer while holding the “Down” button. Slide the switch button to "ON" (models with "OFF" and "ON" switching buttons only)/ Slide the switch button to "SET" ( Models with switch button options "OFF", "ON", and "SET")

This is a command to force the camera to turn on.

  • Please check whether the screen will light up in this method? (The screen: Card Reader).
  • If the screen light up, please disconnect the USB and put a set of new batteries back in the camera.

please take a picture of the battery you are using, we want to see if it is perfectly compatible with the camera
