What is Video Preview (formerly Lite Video)?
We’ve received feedback that the previous Lite Video feature was often misunderstood as a “normal video,” leading to confusion such as:
● “The video has no sound.”
● “The video looks choppy or laggy.”
To make things clearer, we have renamed Lite Video to Video Preview — a name that better reflects what it actually is.
Why Video Preview Has No Sound or Looks Choppy
Video Preview is not a full video.
It is a low-frame-rate, silent preview designed to:
● Save power on your camera – uploading a full video takes longer and consumes more battery.
● Reduce data usage – a single preview photo is equivalent to about 10 seconds of Video Preview.
● Show you the entire event quickly – you can customize preview length from 3 seconds up to 300 seconds.
👉 If you want the full-quality video with sound, you can:
● Request an HD Video (available as an extra service), or
● Retrieve the original file from the SD card (all files are saved there in full quality).

FAQ about Video Preview
1. Will Video Preview upload automatically?
Yes. If you have an active plan and your shooting mode is set to Video or Photo + Video, a Video Preview is automatically generated after each recording and sent to your phone.
2. Why doesn’t Video Preview have sound?
To save battery and reduce file size, Video Preview is silent. If you need audio, request an HD Video or check the original file on the SD card.
3. Why does Video Preview look choppy?
Because it uses a very low frame rate. This keeps file size small, saves battery, and ensures fast delivery to your phone.
4. How can I switch to fast playback?
During playback, tap Normal Preview at the top-left corner of the progress bar to switch to faster playback.
5. How is Video Preview different from other brands?
Many other brands only provide a short 3-photo GIF. GardePro’s Video Preview lets you watch the entire event at low frame rate, giving you more context.
6. How do I request an HD Video?
On the Video Preview playback screen, tap the HD icon. Each request supports up to 10 seconds of HD video.
⚠️ Tip: Avoid frequent requests — HD videos are large, consume more power, and take longer to transfer.
