GPS Feature Guide

Author: Zhong

The GPS feature makes your camera smarter by helping you track its location at all times. Never forget where your camera is placed, and easily mark important spots on the map to enhance your outdoor experience.

1. Feature Overview

● Automatic Camera Location Sync

①. Once enabled, GPS cameras will automatically update their location daily and display it in the app’s map view.

②. The first sync may take up to 1 day after activation. To check the location immediately, use the GPS TEST function in the camera settings.

③. If the camera is placed in a blocked area (e.g., indoors), GPS may fail. For best results, place the camera in an open outdoor area.

● Manual Pin Marking

You can manually add pins for non-GPS cameras and important field locations (such as animal tracks, campsites, etc.) for better organization and tracking.

● Movement Alert

If your GPS camera moves more than 500 meters, the app will send a notification once the new location is synced, helping protect your device.

2. Camera Location Sync Settings

GardePro GPS-enabled cameras can periodically sync their location and show it clearly on the map.

● Supported sync intervals: Every Day / Every 3 Day / Every 7 Day – configurable in camera settings to balance battery usage and update frequency.

● All synced GPS cameras will appear on the map for easy tracking.

3. Adding Pins to the Map

3.1 Marking Non-GPS Camera Locations

Even if your camera doesn't have GPS, you can manually place it on the map:

①. Open the app and go to the Maps page (Location permission and login required)

②. Long-press any location on the map → a Pin Add window appears

③. Select Pin Type → GardePro Camera

④. Choose a non-GPS camera from the dropdown (already pinned devices will show “added”)

⑤. Set the pin color and save

3.2 Marking Animal Sightings or Other Locations

①. Open the app and go to the Maps page

②. Long-press any location on the map → a Pin Add window appears

③. Choose a non-camera pin type (e.g., Buck, Coyote, etc.)

④. Enter a pin name (max 50 characters), select a color, and save

4. How to Quickly Find Your Camera on the Map

To quickly locate your camera on the map:

①. Open the app and go to the camera’s Status Page

②. Tap the Maps Icon in the Camera Location section

③. The app will jump to the map and show your camera's current location

5. How to Navigate to Your Camera Location

If you need to physically reach your camera’s location:

①. Go to the desired camera’s Status Page in the app

②. In the Camera Location section, tap to copy the GPS coordinates

③. The app will redirect you to your phone’s default maps app (e.g., Apple Maps / Google Maps)

④. Paste the coordinates into the search bar and start navigation

⚠️ Note: In-app maps do not currently support direct navigation. Please use your phone’s map app.

6. How to Edit a Pin on the Map

To edit a map pin:

①. Open the Maps page in the app and find the pin

②. Tap the pin → a detail box will appear → tap Edit to modify the name, color, etc.

⚠️ Pins for GPS cameras can only be edited for color. Location and name cannot be changed.

7. Map Usage & Account Binding

● All map pins are tied to your GardePro account to ensure they sync across your devices.

● Login is required to use the map pin feature, even for offline or WiFi cameras.

● If you don’t have an account yet, you can easily create one to save and sync your map data.

● All pins are stored privately in your account and are never shared or used for other purposes. Your privacy is our top priority.
