The baby monitor system supports both 720P and 1080P.

The camera should provide clear and high-quality images and live streams, so it is featured with 1080P resolution. The snapshot or video will be stored with 1080P locally in a Micro-SD card in the camera.

The monitor is featured with 720P resolution to fit the 5-inch screen with a clear view.

For the live stream to be transferred it has 720P resolution to maintain both clarity and smoothness.

Q10: Where to buy a camera?

On www.Amazon.com or via link in Menu > Help to purchase an additional Camera.

Q11: Will this work on the 5g network or the Wi-Fi network?

The Baby monitor needs neither Wi-Fi nor the 5G network.

Q12: Can it also connect to your phone?

I don’t believe it can connect. The baby monitor works independently.

Q13: Does the camera part need to be plugged in?

Yes, the camera must use an electric outlet.

Q14: Will it block out the white noise machine?

I just checked this with mine and it does not block out white noise. The white noise comes through the camera. Our solution is to put the white noise further away from the camera than the baby, which seems to help.

Q15: Will this camera notify you when there is motion in the room?

Yes. You must ensure that you have activated the "Motion detection" in the "MENU>Camera settings" on the monitor. The monitor will notify you once any motion is above the chosen sensitivity level.

Q16: What does the blinking green light on the baby unit camera mean?

It is an indicator for blinking to show that it is updating or has something wrong with the connection.

Q17: What is the resolution of the baby camera and monitor?
A: The monitor’s resolution is 1080*720P and the camera’s resolution is 1920*1080P.

Q18How will the alarm/alert detection affect the system?

There are three kinds of alarm from the camera’s sensors that will affect the video and audio, they are Sound detection, Motion detection, and Temperature detection in Menu > Camera settings.

There are other two kinds of alarms for the B180 baby monitor system such Disconnection alarm and Timer alarm. All these five kinds of alarms will wake up the monitor’s screen from sleep.

If the monitor’s screen is turned on, both the video and the audio keeps alive whatever how the Sound detection is set.

If the monitor’s screen is turned off and you disable the VOX mode (Sound detection), the video will be shut off and the audio still keeps alive.

If the monitor’s screen is turned off and you enable Sound detection, neither the video nor the audio is alive. Only if there is crying or loud noise exceeding the threshold of the sensitivity will the monitor’s screen be turned on and will both the video and audio be recovered.

If the monitor’s screen is turned off and you have enabled Sound detection, Motion detection, or Temperature detection, only if any one of the detection is activated then the monitor will receive the alarm, and its screen be turned on and will both the video and audio be recovered.

Q24How to place the camera on the wall?

Before installing the camera, assess the effectiveness of your installation and verify the camera's positioning by placing it against the wall at the desired location. Position the camera at a distance of more than 3ft from your baby's crib to ensure optimal viewing.

1) Securely hold the bracket against the wall. Then, use a marker to indicate the locations of the three mounting holes.

2) Use a 1/5-inch (6mm) drill bit to create three holes at the marked locations on the wall.

3) Insert the three anchors into the wall and gently tap them with a hammer until they are flush with the surface of the wall.

4) Align the anchor holes on the wall, place the bracket, and insert the three screws through the three holes of the bracket into the anchors. Tighten the screws securely.

5) Locate the mounting hole on the bottom of the camera and align it with the head of the bracket. Rotate the camera around the hole until it is firmly attached to the bracket.

6) Rotate the head bolt of the bracket to securely attach the camera. Next, adjust the camera to a suitable position and securely tighten the bracket's seat bolt.

7) Connect the power adapter to the camera unit.

8) Ensure that the camera unit is properly secured. If it is loose, you may need to tighten the screws and bolts more securely.

Tip: You may use wall clips (not included) to secure the power cord away from the crib or out of the baby’s reach.

The connection stability depends on the obstacles between the parent unit and the child unit. The max range of 1500ft is proven in open space, so it may vary on different house structures and wall thickness.

1) The maximum distance (abbreviated for MD) between the monitor and camera is 3000ft in open area without any obstacle.

2) Check for any obstacles between the camera and monitor and make attenuation estimates

Typical obstacles

Attenuation factor

Fast division factor (FDF)

a concrete thick wall / floor about 9 inch

16~32

20

a concrete thin wall about 5 inch

4~8

5

a big tree or bush with shadow diameter of 15ft

4~8

5

glass door or window

2

2

a TV or computer

1.5~2

2

a refrigerator

1.5~2

2

You must consider all the obstacles between the two units, include each wall or floor, each tree or glass window, etc.

3) Estimate the actual communication distance (ACD).

ACD=MD/FDF1/FDF2/.../FDFx

Example1:

If there are a thick wall and a thin wall between them, you can estimate as this.

ACD=3000/20/5=30 ft

Example2:

If there are a thin wall and a glass door between them, you can estimate as this.

ACD=3000/5/2=300 ft , you can use the monitor in your garden or yard in this distance.
